To be born

To be born

John 1:12-13 New English Translation (NET Bible)

12 But to all who have received him—those who believe in his name—he has given the right to become God’s children 13 —children not born by human parents or by human desire or a husband’s decision, but by God.

“Born of God ... born again you say?”

Nicodemus asked at night and we wonder this by day?

We say we understand it ... but we don’t live that way.

so to be born of, I know ... is not about what we say.

Not of blood! ... What does that mean?

Blood I can see ... in you and me.

Not of flesh or my own will ... that is beyond my deed.

Only God can do that thing and that will set me free.
