This curtain here is ratchet, 

It’s overbearing and quite resilient. 

It’s embedded with daggers, 

Preventing it from prevailing. 

It’s discriminate to all, 

But most specifically to what’s within. 

Its suffocated by its own fears,

With barriers that prevent unveiling. 

Behind the curtain there’s much ambiguity,

Yet a strong desire to overcome challenges. 

A will to break free,

And soar as if no ones paying attention. 

What’s seen behind the indefinite layers, 

Lies a mind of wonders and aspirations. 

A warm soul battling a fight deemed to lose,

But what’s standing behind just won’t give up. 

There too much live for,

And what’s behind wants to live for it all.

The battle is still active,

But there’s hope, persevering hope.
