B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L

Location

They’re spelling beautiful wrong these days.

It’s not B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, it’s B-A-L-D.

It’s the gown with the bows in the back,

The mint green color that’s trending this summer.

It’s the countless spirals of plastic up and down her arms.

It’s her face, her head that turns other’s as she walks.

It’s that smile which no one else could emulate, her hope within it.

Her hands, the permanent marks that tell her life’s story.

Her limbs that show the slenderness every girl covets.

It’s spelled B-A-L-D.

But the beauty truly shows, when brown marker meets mirror.

When red adds a bow. When just for a moment,

This girl spells beautiful wrong too.
