Aurora Borealis

seated cross-legged
in the dew soaked
mountain grass,
our eyes cast
heavenward
as magnetic
midnight
approaches
and ribbonous
rainbows
undulate
across the
darkened sky,
exploding it
with dancing lights,
come to life
in sinuous shades
of green and pink,
yellow, red
and blue.
i turn to look
into your eyes
and find
all that
beauty
reflected
in you.
