Attaching limbs

Growing up, 

I wanted to fulfill my parents dreams.

Be a doctor, become a suregon.

I wanted all that and then some.

I wanted to go into the military,

and attach fallen limbs.

I wanted to see life flicker back

In the soldiers eyes.

 

This would have been my way of giving back.

To serve my country.

To see life flicker in the eyes of families

who see their loved ones returned, healed,

And knowing that I attached those limbs,
