Father God, Mother Earth,

Working hard, but what’s it worth?

We each other both in flesh and in spirit,

We ignore the Mother’s crys, can you hear it?

Our trees are burning into ash,

And the people with the power to change that only care about cash.

But do they realize from ash should come rebirth?

Do they realize that life comes from the Earth?

So in killing the Earth, we are killing ourselves.

Why are we still putting the planet on the shelf?

It’s not a little globe to spin,

It’s the world we live in.

So let’s care for it as such,

And not be numb to her touch.

This poem is about:
Our world
