Artificial Love

Location

They say

“when something is too good to be true, it usually is”

How sad, that i use this in regards to you.

Like a seedy salesman deal, if I buy one, ill get two.

But your fine print

Reads like the bottom a receipt

Or the end of a contract

Between you and me

See I get to have you

For the price of one

But before I can read you

The signature is done

It’s written in ink

There is no erase

I just bought in and

paid dearly for a taste

Initially sweet

With a bitter end

I reached for sugar

But got Splenda again

This poem is about:
My family
