Anxious Anticipation

I see it looming

It's coming for me

I'm scared, I'm nervous

I'm getting cold feet

The thought, It's exciting

But scary as hell

I'm thrilled for the future

But shaky as well

A two hour drive

Between old and new

Music and driving

And gas money too

Close quarter living

May just smother me

How well will this work

I guess we will see

I may get so lonely

And be longing for who

I'll be missing my pets

And my family too

But away I must go

To gain valuable knowledge

So onward to future

Toward six years of college

So wish me good luck

In all I must do

Tell me it's okay

And that you'll miss me too
