Another 24

Everyday I wake up, thanking the man above for another 24

Another day I get dressed, inspite of the storm

Many people see me as a joke

When honestly I am just trying to make it out this so called joke

Seeing my mom work day and night

Just so that things can be right

The struggle of a everyday black woman is hard we know

And you always have that father that never shows up for the show

So I go through life, trying to make things better

Wanting to make my mom proud

That will be my greatest acomplishment

To let her know do not worry, I am going to be something

All I need is just another 24
