Anima Vestra

Fri, 08/16/2019 - 23:43 -- A Finch

I swear I’ve met your soul before,

And your smile too.

Perhaps you’re who I’m waiting for

Without ever meaning to.

For you seem far too familiar

From a time that is no more.

Our souls must’ve been together

Amongst the stars that soar.

Were you once my lover, I implore

Or was that but a dream?

Could you love my soul once more,

For strange as it may seem,

Though we have only just met,

We were lovers once I’m sure.

I don’t think people ever forget

A soul they loved, and were made for.
