America: Land of the Waiting

The sun sets on another American day.

Discontent dots the landscape:

The land of aimless protestors and impassionate activists.

More cries for change, more cries of sorrow.

A retroactive strategy is the one these people use.

Should the sun rise differently tomorrow,

Should the injustice you realize end,

It must be the product of your work.

No amount of crying, no amount of protesting

Can fix the world.

The only way to ensure change,

Is to live that change every single day in your own life.
