America the Great!

Red, White and Blue the colors that once stood for truth.

But what are we teaching our youth?

The country that is proud to be called free and home of the brave.

But only brave if you learn to enslave?

That only those that look or act a certain way deserve it.

We offer these "opportunities" but not equally disperse it.

This was the land of the free, the home of the brave.

The place where everyone sought to go after their dreams

But what we found was this "liberty" entangled with scheme.

Is it our ancestors,  is it you and me?

What do we really have to do to finally feel this liberty?

To feel like we really belong, and have to stop proving ourselves

Because we deserve the right to be here and stop being put on the shelves.

Stop being held like books on reserve

And only pulled out when you need us to serve.

This country is our home, the place we belong

But sometimes they make us feel like we are in the wrong.

Like we've done something by just being us

When all we wanted was for America to embrace us with trust.

Stop the fights, share the love and peace.

As a country, as a nation we deserve a lot more than this.

We are more than just those who fight, we are a melting pot

So together let's put meaning back into Red, Blue and White.
