Alone

Location

Alone in life

followed by strife

surrounded by many

known by none

they think they know me

but know not at all.

I reach for the stars

as I start to fall.

I fall on my own

they reach out for me

not far enough

but they try, you see.

I figured out young

that I must stand strong

and stand on my own

lest I break down alone.

They think that I'm weak,

they know not what is wrong.

They think that I'm stupid,

I know more then they realize.

Knowing is half the battle,

I'm fighting an eternal war.

I won't stop till I'm stable,

till I've given my last breath.

In my final moments I hope

to be of clear mind,

till then you will all find,

Insanity keeps me alive.

But what is sane and what is not?

I see what others don't

I hear what is whispered

they don't think I notice,

but I know more of what you don't.

I stand alone upon the world

surrounded by all who know of me,

but tell me when you've found someone who knows

the truth

inside

of

me.

I AM ALONE!
