A christmas wish

Upon a mist a shooting star
A mother makes a wish to the heavens afar
to have a baby before the new year
to Cherish, to bring to give a mother some cheer
for she's never believed in the holiday at all
because she has always been alone
so before she heads in she says good night
she gets into bed and closes her eyes
then dreams of what might be gods given sign
for that's him the star that shines on by
to keep his eyes on us come Christmas time
for when morning comes she will have the surprise of her life
she gets her wish on Christmas time.
