About a Friend

Shattered glass.

Shattered heart.

Another family torn apart.

Gone.

Should’ve listened.

Should’ve lied.

Never should have cried.

Pain.

Fresh bruises.

Fresh scars.

More wishes on stars.

Unanswered.

Red blood.

Red lights.

Police and a list of rights.

Broken.

Another house.

Another town.

It’ll be better this time around.

Unlikely.

Feeling cold.

Feeling lost.

The truth always has a cost.

Everything.
