Abandonment

The world is spinning,

Everyone's screaming,

Or is that my heart beating,

I can't get these thoughts out of my head,

I can't tell anymore,

Are you still leaving?

You keep claiming,

That you've given up.

When will it end,

This pounding in my head.

I can't tell whether it's love or hate,

You always speak like that,

Like we're nothing,

You make us feel hated,

Unappreciated.

We're the unwanted baggage,

they've left behind,

It's not our fault they've forgotten to pick us up.

They're out there,

Selfishly awaiting their own happiness.

They've destroyed a home,

Now they've come back to take back,

What has already been broken.

We are not toys to be played with,

Then forgotten until you get bored with something else.
