I envy their happiness

How they pull off those lies.

Wishing love

But truly dying inside.

Whenever they’re up close

It’s hard to focus on it sometimes

They way their greyness shows

But quickly shuts in like a door.

Fake love is better than no love,

At least their love isn’t hindered

Like mines;

Words mean another

Like death and time.

I can never show my colors

Underneath this stethoscope.

No sound vibrates quieter than mines.

I have the key to stop

It all

By one single word.

The word that destroyed empires

And secured

Deepest fears to mankind.

They scare me.

They scare me.

How swiftly they can lie

By adding on blood to my sweet surprise.

My heart races but not for love,

It’s the envy that keeps me connected to this world.
