½ A STEP

I can barely SEE

½ a step in FRONT of me.

And occasionally,

I take that step with absolutely no pep.

I tend to proceed on auto pilot –

Sometimes I need a downer, but I can’t dial it.

Even when I’m moving forward,

I don’t always know what I’m moving toward.

So I think I’ll stop …and bop a while

And wait to concentrate then I’ll…….

Go back and TAKE – the next ½ step

Whether true or fake – the next ½ step

No matter WHERE it might lead me

I can BARELY SEE …½ a step in front of me……………
