“Because it’s there!”

Location

Challenge! Oh how you ridicule me,

ridiculing all mankind with their failures

failures, the curse of this retched condition

conditions so vastly diverse yet singularly uniform

Challenge, you are the executioner of those who dream

your contorted misshapen hands bind their nooses

why face you as man does with arrogance?

you respond in contempt to their insolence

"I was birthed from primeval wickedness

the folly of my inception is now the reason

for my being. I stop the poet

from writing, the philosopher from thinking"

Indeed challenge you isolate and beset me

you will ravage any hope, end any friendship,

show no quarter to assure my demise. Suddenly,

somber soliloquies no longer help. I. Must. Act.
