‘Self acclaim Christian’

Sun, 05/29/2016 - 20:10 -- Elikem

‘Self acclaim Christian’ is the words she said I used

I serve her food in love

I run errand for her in delight

Her washroom I wash but not in love

Her room I sweep but not in joy

Like a servant she treats me

Forgetting we are all equal

‘Self acclaim Christian’ is the words she said I used

I showed you love in my own small way

You realized my smiles wiped away

Yet you couldn’t figure out why

You only complained

You couldn’t search through yourself

You made no effort to put the smile back

‘Self acclaim Christian’ is the words she said I used

The words that got her furious

And exactly which words best describes how she treats me

How is a sister in Christ suppose to treat the fellow

Christ like is the Christian

You saw no good in me after the smile wiped away

Put my smile back that is all I have

You forgot my good and held a grudge

Sister in Christ the word…

‘Self acclaim Christian’ is a wakeup call

See me like you

Treat me like you

Put my smile back

Christ is he we imitate
