Am I still here?

Location

Am I still here?

Can you hear me?

Must I still creep around your room?

Memories folded up and neatly put away

In dresser drawers glues shut with spider webs;

Emotions paint the walls in a fresh coat every time I enter

Can you hear me?

Do you feel my footsteps as they leave imprints upon your heart

Like ours did that summer we walked across the beach

          Do my words still caress the small of your back?

         Are my eyes still the place you look to see beauty?

Do my hands still fit perfectly with yours?

Those memories are they gone.

That paint, is it chipped?

Has the tide washed away my footprints?

Can  you hear me?

Are you still there?
