Deep In These Streets

Deep in these streets
Where it's easy to lose
One's self without warning
Where all hell ensues
Where death is dealt
Day to day
From one hand to the other
In a sneaky way
Where moms run amok
There children neglected
Their children grow up
With their crimes perfected
Where daughters are taken
For a little quick high
And sons are trained
To not live but yet die
where gloom hangs around
And despair is not shaken
Where souls linger
And here dwells the forsaken
Where houses don't have lights
Because the parents are messed up
Deep in these streets
Where the hopeless sup
Broken dreams and ghosts
Are all that's left here
Deep in these streets
All over everywhere
