The Selfish
I sit in class as students say, "I'm not selfish. I think of others."
I say you are nothing but selfish.
You've judged me my entire life for how you perceive me,
Today is my turn.
These glasses I wear were suppose to help me see,
But I saw everything without them.
I saw the fake handouts,
The fake volunteers,
The fake feelings,
And the fake courtesy.
You never thought of anyone but yourself.
You never helped someone because it was just the right thing to do.
You only helped someone when there was an interest for you.
I stand on the soap boc today
Because somewhere people can be inherantly selfless.
It is our job as selfless people to change the hearts and minds of the selfish
So they may transcend with us.
