To Every Teacher

I wake up, get ready, and leave

It's the same routine but you've made it different for me

You make my day and show me the way

But yet you receive minimum pay

You feed my curiosity and see the best in me

Even when I can't see it in myself

You forgive my mistakes and have faith in me

Even when I don't deserve it

You brighten my day with your enthusiasm for what you're teaching

You motivate me to never stop reaching

I admire how you care about what you say

And at the end of the day

I come home, do what is needed, and go to bed

And think about the wonderful ideas you put in my head
