The Light Far Away
Ridiculous I was back then.
Weak was I back then.
No potential even if I stood on top of Kilimanjaro!
Where would I be, if not at 9 years of age I stood on top of my father's
shoulders?
What was it that changed me? One does not wake up with
alacrity! One is not birthed astute from ones mother's womb.
I was carried by my father's shoulders sheltered by my mother's
words of wisdom. Little did I know where I would have been
if not they have aided me!
Ridiculous I was back then.
Ridiculous that I did not know how to speak the language of the land of
milk and honey!
Ridiculous I will sound to others when I give my veneration to them!
Mercy Father! Mercy for I has disobeyed you for I was blind but now I see.
The sweet seeping knowledge was not birthed in me but was built in me.
Ridiculous I was before the land of opportunity!
