Doorkeeper
Psalm 84:10
10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
Than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Doorkeeper
Observe me not at the surface but rather deep inside
I will open the door and let you look around
I am the keeper of the door as you well can see
What comes in and goes out should I decide by myself?
When the Lord redeemed me He entered in
He designed and structured what I should be
The temple of the Lord built from the ground up
Into a place of service that I know very well
What comes in that goes out seems out of place
The Holy Spirit came and just settled in
Christ Himself appears regularly face to face
With the spirit mine to guide my thought within
Where do I invest most of my time ... in the Outer-court?
Is there where I dwell to form a self-made religion?
Or is it in the Holy Place where I receive instruction
and where I celebrate the true gift of Salvation?
Is not the Holy of Holies where I meet the Lord?
One on one just us two reasoning together
Is it not here that He shares His vision
and prepares me in the outer-court to witness?
