Hope

The Spring blossom peers up from the barren earth,

spreading it’s leaves and petals out wide,

trying to extinguish it’s hunger.

The color is apparent amongst the plain.

Snow is melting and the desolate surface is beginning to show,

the blossom stands alone.

The first sign of hope to the barren and helpless thing that is winter.
