Ticking Time
I hear the piercing tick-tock.
I stare at the clock.
Thinking of nothing but the time
Watching my life slowly pass by.
Wishing for life to go faster.
No one knows about my fading time.
Tick-tock
Tick-tock
I point at the clock.
They finally hear.
Taking my clock off the hinges
Leaving me with no sense of time.
How will I know?
Craving for something to do in my spare time
I consume myself with self-reflecting thoughts.
Silent ticking.
Counting each breath.
Soon enough I find something else to hold onto.
Life.
Happiness.
Myself.
Tick-tock
Tick-tock
They put the clock back on the wall.
I do not notice.
I can not hear the tick-tock.
I see the clock.
But can not hear the tick-tock.
I no longer need the clock.
