I wrote this at work after waiting on the sweetest fireman that came in on his lunch break. (sometime in 2013)

Ion know what to do

Ion know what to say

Love has bitten me shyly

and ran away.

You came in on your lunch break

just a few minutes shy from 1:08

and although we're not the same

I could never discriminate.

You looked at me as if I was truly someone

you gave me attention as if I was the only one.

& now in your eyes, your arms, your embrace

do I want to wake and see the sun.

I know I was only your waitress

but if you ever chose me, I'd never cause stress

the way I'd long, desire, feel, and love you..

would fully convince you that for you, I'm the best.

Maybe I'm just naive

to believe

that someone I've "waited on"

is the one that's just for me.

But my oh my,

how my heart does cry

to think that maybe

you were just a nice fellow passing by.
