Just an image

Thu, 06/30/2016 - 12:27 -- 2018gel

Put the camera to my face,

The world is just an image.

I can capture what I want,

And leave out all the baggage.

Put the camera to my face,

The world is just an image.

Expose the hidden beauty,

Within the heap of damage.

Put the camera to my face,

The world is just an image.

Close my eyes when the pain comes,

Cover it with a bandage.

Put the camera to my face,

The world is just an image.

I build a digital wall,

Pretend that I have courage.

Put the camera to my face,

The world is just an image.

I can spread my wings and fly,

And leave behind the wreckage.

Take the camera down from my face,

The world is more than an image.

It is time to recognise the facts,

And give this world my message.

You can't block out the ugly,

At least not for forever.

It is time to face the world,

And sort it out together.
