Unbroken

Her eyes are sad,

in a strong kind of way.

A little girl who believed in the things they pushed away.

She loved, She lost, She learned.

Her eyes are wise,

in a scary kind of way.

Just thirteen and a whole life time away.

She loved, she lost, she learned.

Her eyes in pain,

in a secret kind of way.

Quiet whispers of the things no one could say.

She loved, she lost, she forgot.

Her eyes are honest,

in a beautiful kind of way.

Truthful secrets come out to play.

She loved, she lost, she forgot.

Her eyes are loving,

in a surprising kind of way.

Future dreams and goals no longer pushed away.

She loved. She lost. She overcame.
