Let Me Go

Let Me Go

Your fist are clenching the life out of my soul,

You refuse to forget, you won't let me go.

Release your grasp, you know that it's wrong,

To try and hold onto a love that's long gone.

I need this for me, please just set me free,

You're killing me slowly, I need you to see.

I want to be forgotten, erased from your mind,

Just an old flame burned out, ridden with time.

Fade me away into the darkness of night,

Like I never existed, gone out of sight.

Let the pain become numb and the tears dry fast,

Leave me alone, leave me in your past.
