Inspiration of Design
When possessed by darkness on this little earth,
How bright it seems, the stars above,
Like a fire atop a widow’s hearth,
The lamps of heaven shine like the wings of dove.
Through the sextant, the celestial shepherd,
Rush amidst the dreary Milky Way,
Like the sprinting toad above a curd,
Every dark night and visible day.
