One Amazing Trip

Wed, 06/24/2015 - 15:56 -- Jorgy

I am a girl who still has hope.

I wonder what tomorrow will bring, even though it is never promised.

I see world hunger.

I want to help the precious and hurting people.

I am a girl who still has hope.

I pretend to be a soldier walking around the walls of Jericho.

I feel the sunshine of Haiti on my face.

I touch a fried plantain.

I worry I won’t make a big enough impact on the people there.

I cry when I see how the Haitian people are so joyful with nothing and I still want more when I

have more than I could ever need.

I am a girl who still has hope.

I understand that there will be brokenness in the world.

I say to the people how we are loved so much by God and Jesus.

I dream I will be able to return to Haiti again.

I try to serve the least of these in the United States as well.

I hope they now know the way to salvation.

I am a girl who still has hope.

I long to have boldness.

I see their sparkling eyes and loving hearts open.

I know the people in our area are in in desperate need too.

I am a young woman ready to go wherever the Lord may call me.

I am a girl who still has hope.
