The Experiences of Running

Location

When you run you not only see but feel,

The cold engulfs you with its incredible zeal,

Birds chirp and your stress heals,

Your mind is free and so is your appeals,

Flying in the wind seems so inviting,

It's almost like you are gliding,

Down the icy winter snow you go,

Slipping not once not twice but three times Oh no!

But you get up again and you keep running on,

As if in a winter love song,

And you keep running until fall comes on,

Finally you are ready for your first marathon,

Once they give you your number your heart begins to pace,

They say slow and steady wins the race,

But rhythm and pace is what really makes the experience great.

I'm not sure if you're a runner, but I can definitely sense the passion for the subject. Great poem!
