The curves of the smooth oak,
Caress my bare cheek as I play
These notes stretched like my body
Years of dedication
Sung through the notes of my song
Long nights of practicing led to a bare finger board, once filled with tapes
My unsure fingers now grace along effortless, with smooth vibrato
The hum of twinkle, twinkle, little star to the prestissimo of flight of the bumble bee
Played with callused fingers and graceful bow strokes
An art never mastered
