If I had a dime for every time
I've head a student say,
"I could have just stayed home from school today,"
I could pay for my college tuition.
And I always used to wonder how
You can't sit in your assigned seat
and complain about her monotone voice
you can't even give her advice about making her class more exciting
A month ago she killed herself.
I cried, wishing I could go with her as well.
Her smile, her laugh, her cries.
I miss them all.
I miss too much.
And one day I sat at my bed.
All alone.

i don't need the constant reminders

i don't need to be treated like i am stupid
i'm 16 i can stand on my own
i need to venture out
and learn with my own mind
