Words

2 Timothy 1:7 New English Translation

7 For God did not give us a Spirit of fear but of power and love and self-control.

Words

Words cast within our mind seldom change the meaning

Once a word is known to you, it means just what it says

The problem is that the meaning can be different from others

And open up a different world of thought at any time a day

Take the word humility to completely forget my-self

How can I understand it if I cannot let go of me?

Is not it for certain that I learn to live life by self

And words stay only words or I surely can’t be free

Take the word timidity sounds so shy and defeated

But what, if it is founded on self-control and love

And through that power, in me, I’ll never get overheated

Remembering my weakness before the blessings from above

Words are words you say, but not always in-comprehension

But what words mean to me, that is what really counts

That seems a lot of malarkey just to get some attention

To be noticed by all others to fulfill your "rattle" in sound

Our emptiness helps us tremble before God Almighty

Yet, on the other hand, we proceed in Him to have courage

Power towards the enemy, He will surely provide

And self-control towards words are often controlling damage
