The ring glistened in the light above/ telling all just how to love/ once just meant for show and fashion/now presents this love and passion//  The woman owning this precious ring/ was quite big into helping/ a caring heart for all she sees/ an open arm for all who needs//  Settled on her petite old hand/ the ring did seem quite grand/ though elaborate it was not/ attention it sure sought//  Now that she has died/ I wear this ring with pride/ for the woman just before me/ is one I strive to be
