1 Peter 2:23    New English Translation

23 When he was maligned, he did not answer back; when he suffered, he threatened no retaliation, but committed himself to God who judges justly.

The flesh is impelled by emotion and emotions we know change fast

One moment warm and compassionate and another frozen cold in a cast

Without an appeal, the flesh cannot serve God, so it's useless to depend on the flesh

Only fervent in spirit's permanent feature, one dependently can serve God at last
