Waterfalls - a sonnet
Location
Writing a sonnet about waterfalls
Is not an easy task to stipulate.
The sound they make: to some people it calls,
To others, an encounter is just fate.
Beware the most forceful assertiveness
when you enter their fast moving currents.
Their power will force you to reassess
your footing when you need reassurance.
Some are taller than the highest redwoods.
Some flow straight down, like a shining glass wall
Others give happiness, like no pills could.
But they are all the same, all waterfalls.
So as long as they are there to be seen
I will seek out their magnificent sheen.
