Two Million
Location
Two Million.
Two million teens.
Just like you. Just like me.
Staring in the mirror wondering
"Why?"
Two million teens each year
Try to take their own lives.
Sitting in their room with the
Door closed and the
Music up loud.
"Things would be different if I were part of the in-crowd."
They're hands are shaking,
Scared to die but more scared of going to school.
Their fingers shake, as they write their goodbye
"Sorry that I was not cool."
All they wanted was a friend, someone to show them love.
But they pull the trigger, they tie the noose.
Two million of our peers have given up.
Not all, but many of them suceed.
They're crying out.
With blood, sweat, and tears they plead.
It could be the kid in your math class,
Or the one on the bus.
Had a bad day, kicked when they're down - it could be any of us.
If you knew what they were going to do
When they got home that day.
Would you take action?
Or would you stay the same,
So what does our generation need to change?
The answer is clear.
We need to show love
To two million a year.
