A Thought of You

Location

I wonder if you think of me

in the way I do of you.

Does your heart flutter,

or do you get butterflies?

Does your heart ache,

or do you feel your stomach churn?

My love for you is still the same as it once was;

Timid, warm and passionate.

Yet the hurt you have scarred me with

overrode any love I had for you.

The feelings of pain and sorrow remain indelible,

similar to the marks of a pen that cannot be erased.

I am both blessed and haunted by the visions of you—

—that I find in everything I can see.
