Thank You

Bursting gun shots

Blood running down

Bodies falling

Wives falling to the carpets of their living room floors

Husbands' standing right above them with their hands ready to strike

Children in the corner letting the warm tears on their faces roll down to the blood stained carpets

Teenagers forced to put on a new face and keep their old one at home

Shatters of broken bottles everywhere with the beautiful sparkling drink spreading

A woman barely holding onto a wall, sliding down slowly as her mind begins to shut down

Her once bright eyes have seen too much

So much, that she's blinded and deaf to her hearts music

Children with the bodies of skeletons trying to find food quickly with all their might

White rice, their savior

Others do nothing but cry and cover their decomposed faces as they fall down onto their boney knees

They look up at the sky wondering: "Why... why me?"

Girls stomping their feet moving quickly as they try to find the light that they want to escape to

It dims when they feel a hand on their shoulder

A cold shiver runs down their backs as they give one last look at the flicker of light

A boy holding his lovers hand gripping it tightly as they walk down the hallways

People stare with digust and yell at them to go to the fiery depths of Hell

One boy goes home and feels the hot burning tears roll down his face

He then looks at the glistening knife

He grabs it and watches it tremble in his hand

All he could say was "I'm sorry my love.." before his last breathe

Do you really think that things are getting better?

Do you understand how it feels to be unwanted, broken, or to feel like there is nowhere else to go?

No. You don't.

Thank you society
