Stormy Eyes

One look has more power than a lightning strike

for in her eyes you can see the impending storm

The fierce clouds that once colored the distance

now smother every beam of light

they loom closer and closer

stumbling under their own weight

he longer they stand

the darker they grow

Until holding it in is past even the sky's limit

First a trickle

then a splat

The clouds burst

drenching all who never bothered to look

But she knows

she sees

through the storm in her eyes
