Silence.
Location
Deep in the confines of her mind
is kept away her fears and insecurities -
but once the night falls
and she lays her head to rest,
the doors open.
She realizes she’s not who she wants to be,
she’s not satisfied with what she’s becoming –
what she’s become.
She wants silence to grasp her mind,
to shut it down and stop the cries.
But she realizes
what keeps her awake at night
and she realizes
she should make the change
to be what she wants;
to be happy with who she is
But nails scratch at her scalp,
and stress rattles her brain
crippling her inspiration,
breaking her will,
until all she can do
is beg sleep to save her.
