The Shadow of the Sun

Location

I am sheltered by darkness,

For it comsumes me piece by piece.

While she shines brightly to others,

Burning them with her desperate smile,

I am left alone,

Being only her shadow for the weak.

"Please, stay asleep" she would say,

As I try to orbit around that accursed star.

But my faliure was inevitable,

And she only shined brightly than before.

And for that, it weakened me,

For I still withold scars.

"It's for your own good" she told me,

And I knew that she was not wrong.

For my phases were enchanting to the eyes,

But deadly to the heart.

And because ot this,

This small, small dilemma,

I will always be known as,

The Shadow of the Sun.
