Ecclesiastes 3:11 New English Translation (NET Bible)

11 God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time,

but he has also placed ignorance in the human heart

so that people cannot discover what God has ordained,

from the beginning to the end of their lives.

The first stroke on a painting has to be right

For whatever follows has to fall in that rhythm

It is the same with words that hunger for rhyme

So that they build on one another, ignoring any schism

Words with sugarcoating or some made of the bitter

Showing the contrast that words in life can bring

The taste that they bring will be far from whether

The meaning that’s intended as they to emotions cling

Some are sliding down the mountain with a serene whisper

As others are going uphill, straining with a heavy load

The significant difference measured in energy and meaning

Invested in time and place as simple emotions freely flow

Snowcapped mountains guarding the dessert

A sharp contrast formed in this world of grey

Ruled by the familiar as either dry in its presence

Or warmth in grief and trust embrace this very day

Somewhere deep in nowhere are all hidden facts

In the canyons and the hills of depraved minds

Are the wolves always in the waiting with instinct intact?

To destroy what is good and lovely of every kind.
