Rainy Day

On rainy days we drive around with a constant mist and fog covering our sight to where all we see is a windshield wipe

The storm finally settles and we see the world how it truly is

Grey, sad, and quiet, the world is so still and quiet after a storm that I get chills

The trees stop and the streets become empty

Everythings so fragile and could be gone in a instint

Water runs off a leaf and makes a drop in the puddle beneath it

You drive along a tree road that's  narrow and you see branches drip water with a contagious beat

Water gathers along side you in the ditches as you drive past

There's uneven curves in the road that hold water

You have plenty of time to dodge them but you don't you zoom through them

Your car shifts uncontrollably but you hold the wheel straight so you don't hydroplane

You know you're in control of the car so you go over each puddle as your car glides through Splashing a mist against the trees

There's a puddle that covers the whole street

Too bad you didn't know it was so deep

Your car pushes through and you hold your wheel straight but the water can push weight

Suddenly you're pushed over the edge

You lost control

Now the cars filling up with water and you can't unbuckle your seatbelt

The window won't break and the tree is starting to cave

The wind picks up and it starts to sway

Lightning strikes the tree and it crashes on top of your car but the noise is hidden by a thunders roar

It shattered your window so you climb out and stand

You cry out for help but no one gives you a hand

You had control but it wasn’t enough

Because in the end you were still crushed
