Politics: The topic that circulates

Darkness surrounds me.

Wrapping its hand around me like a thick blanket.

I hear it all everyday.

It has consumed our society like a widespread plague.

It falls from our mouth, word vomit, and I can’t cover my ears because it’s their opinion and my body says I must respect it.

I want to throw it away like spoiled milk, but it always comes back.

It has come to the point where if I don’t have the same opinions as them, I will be harmed.

Mama says to arm myself with facts, but what’s the point?

They’ll just chase me and try to kill me like rabid dogs.

Sweet faces and nice people until you respectfully share your opposing opinion.

You’re wrong.

You’re just a fucking racist.

Go fuck yourself you misogynistic cunt.

You just want us to die you whore.

You’re evil for supporting a bigot who imprisons those poor illegal immigrants.

I hear it everywhere, especially on social media.

No one is truly safe.

Our dearest amendment being torn and burned by demons from hell.

Born or aborted?

This is my body and I will slaughter my unborn child if I fucking want to.

They’ve possessed the population and won’t stop until they get what they want.

Who’s truly oppressed?

Whites walk while words weaken and they tell us to drink Windex.

I don’t feel safe in this world with hostile demons wanting to claw at my heart and mind.

Depression and mental illness has me wrapped on his little finger.

What are you going to do about it politicians?
